Grant
Ramey, from viticulturist to winemaker...
A Yuba County native, with a deep connection
to
the local ecology, Grant has a long history of vineyard
management. He managed Yuba County's
largest vineyard for 30 years.
His years of hands-on experience
of the local viticulture gives him a cutting edge when it comes to
producing superior grape crops in the
mountainous
North Yuba
appellation. His knowledge and understanding of
the soil
analysis needed for vines coupled with organic practices has
helped the vines he
manages to produce healthy crops of flavor packed
grapes.

Grant
began to develop his winemaking skills by
treating small batches of his vineyard
experiments to individual barrel
treatment in the cellar. Growing good grapes is his
"forte", making wine, his passion. In the creation of
Grant-Eddie Winery, Grant
and has had the good forture to turn a
passion into a profession.
